The Write-A-Nator This is a neat website that teachers can use for writing prompts. Students view a short cartoon clip and then take a challenge by writing. Check out 'Mr. Big's Plan' about using simile.
Guide to Grammar and Style by Jack Lynch this is a web guide that is alphabetically sorted for grammar and writing tips and info. There are also web links. Good resourceful tool.

Picasso Head is a simple little art designing website where you can create your own personal Picasso. This site is safe and simple for students and without the advertisements to distract. I could see this being used as a reward activity for students.

Grahic Organizers from Teachervision

This site has many graphic organizers and they are arranged by grade levels and by subjects. This looks to be useful but you only get 5 downloads free and then you must pay a $39 membership fee. May well be worth the money. Teachervision Graphic Organizers
I took a look at edHelper.com and realized I have to pay for an account to access and print educational materials. I have heard good reviews from other teachers together who ordered this subscription. From looking at the home page the site is clean with no distracting pop-up's and it has an organized table of contents that makes it easy to find what you need. There are also many printable items and even foreign language activities. This site may be worth the money.

Chart Creating

I have compared two great sites for creating charts for classroom use or teacher collaboration use. The first site is called "Hohli" and it is a simple to use chart creating website that is clean as in not any extra advertisements that might distract students. This is so simple to use just pick the kind of graph you will need and the size then fill in the blanks on the title, data, and grid point information. There could be an easier print option on the site but still all you have to do is save the image to your computer and then print it at any time. The other site I reviewed is "Cacoo" this is a neat way to crate, share, and collaborate with others about charts. Creating a chart here is as easy as click, drag, and drop. This is nice because you can save and work on charts from anywhere and multiple users can view and edit at the same time you are viewing the chart. Love the extra benefit of collaboration chart creating. Sorry but I could not capture an image of either of these sites but I have attached a link to their titles above.
